Hotel after breakfast and drive to the Giriama Village to see their architecture, farming, domestic animals and family life. You will meet local artisans weaving reed mats, hats and baskets for sale. Marvel at a giriama wine taper climb 60 foot coconut trees to tap coconut wine, ‘mnazi'. You will also meet the witchdoctor. If you are lucky, he will ‘divine' a solution to your problems'.

You will then be treated to a sumptuous traditional African Buffet at the ngomongo villages, prepared in the best of African tradition (all inclusive beer and wine). Having visited a typical rural Giriama village in the morning, you will in the afternoon see 9 different other tribes homestead replicas within the scenic and beautiful 3 time international ward winner ‘Ngomongo Villages' park. Pick from your accommodation in the morning and drive through the countryside to Kaloleni where you will be able to see the fauna and flora, farmlands with houses and villages and the beautiful tropical countryside

Visit the local market deep in the land of the Giriama people. Here they get all their daily needs such as fruits, vegetables, clothes and other household goods. There is also an opportunity to visit St. Luke's hospital run by the Anglican Church Mission.
From here, continue through Chonyi land to a village in the lush coast vegetation. Visit a primary school and see the way of life in the village, the local medicine man, test the local brew……… From here continue your excursion through mango and sisal plantation on your way to Animo Bush for a late African lunch and entertainment from local dancers. After lunch transfer back to your accommodation arriving early evening.

The day starts when you are collected from your hotel and driven to Shimoni, a sleepy fishing village well known for caves used to hold African slaves waiting to be transported to the east. Upon boarding, welcome tea, coffee, and biscuits await you. During the 45 minutes voyage to the marine park, you will be given a tour briefing, individual assessments and full equipment including mask, snorkels, fins and buoyancy jackets will be provided. Two snorkeling sites are visited, weather permitting and during low tide a beautiful sandbar is exposed. Sodas, water, fruit, and snacks are offered.
You will return to a private residence on Wasini Island , a Robinson Crusoe hideaway, for delicious seafood. Sail back to the jetty and return to your hotel.

TOUR CODE: TOK06. DHOW ADVENTURE – KENYA MARINAS

An ideal day out for all the family, this Dhow adventure has lots to keep everyone amused.

•  Having been collected from your hotel, you will head towards the Kenya Marineland, where your guide will explain the day's programme. It will begin with a tour Marineland, after which you will set sail for the open seas – weather permitting. There is also an option to snorkel.

•  Returning back for a short break just before lunch which is enjoyed at the Waterside Restaurant.

•  In the afternoon we sail up the calm waters of Tape Creek which is app. 8 kilometres long. This water forms a narrow, picturesque scene of mangroves and flora inhabited by exotic birds. Towards the end of the trip, the Dhow slowly returns to the Marineland.

•  On board you are entertained by limbo dancers and African show. On return to land you will visit the Snake Park and Aquarium to witness crocodiles feeding. Masai dancers will help close up the day before you have the chance of purchasing a nameplate, as a keepsake, from the local Malone Carvers, before returning to your hotel.

Nairobi is a lively cosmopolitan and bustling city. Our experienced tour guide will show you round this beautiful city in the sun. The tour includes the colourful city market – where traders go about selling farm produce, curio stalls with various wood carvings on display, bracelets, baskets and many souvenirs. The tour continues to the Parliament buildings and the Kenyatta International Conference Centre. The highlight is usually a visit to the National Museum. It represents Kenya’s natural history, culture in depth collection of bird and animal species. It is a major international centre of present man history. The tour ends with a visit to the Snake Park. The place houses various snake species found in Kenya and also crocodiles and tortoises. Our guides will be always at hand to answer any questions you may have about Nairobi and Kenya in general.

A boma means a traditional homestead. The authentic villages are found here. This cultural centre presents traditional dances from Kenya’s different tribes. The show takes 1.5 hours and starts from 1430hrs Mon-Fri and 1530hrs during the weekends.

Fancy taking photographs of a giraffe with Nairobi city providing the background? Yes it is the closes park to a capital city anywhere in the world; just 7km from the city centre. This is one of the best parks to see all the big five except Elephant.

The Great Rift Valley is a sight to behold! Lake Nakuru has been rightly referred to as the greatest birdlife sanctuary in the world. Leave your hotel in the morning and descend on the plateau of the Great Rift Valley passing Mt. Longonot. There will be a short stop over to take photographs of the beautiful scenery. On arrival, start your game drive in Lake Nakuru. Lunch in one of the lodges. After lunch, drive back to Nairobi via lake Naivasha – home to hundred species of birds. Afternoon tea on the shores of the lake then return to Nairobi.

TOUR CODE: 12 COFFEE PLANTATION TOUR
This tour takes us to Socfinaf, Kenya’s largest privately owned Coffee Company which owns 9 estates in Thika and Ruiru. The Ruiru tour consists of having a cup of coffee at their 85 year old Oaklands Estate House, video presentation about coffee production, field trip around the estate to witness the farming, delivery to the factory and processing. The tour ends with a relaxation and enjoying light refreshment at the estate dam. Many birds can be seen around the dam and guests are invited to try their hand at fishing.

Day 5. LAKE BARINGO
Guided bird walk before breakfast. Breakfast. A boat trip on the lake will be the other highlight of the day. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at the Club.

Day 6. LAKE BARINGO - LAKE NAIVASHA
After breakfast depart for Lake Naivasha with a stopover at Lake Elmentaita. Lunch at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge, Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge or Lake Naivasha Country Club. A boat will be ready for you in the afternoon to take you on a ride which will include a visit to the Crescent Island. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7. LAKE NAIVASHA
Enjoy early morning guided bird watching followed by breakfast. In the afternoon visit nearby Hell’s Gate National Park.

Day 8.  LAKE NAIVASHA – MASAI MARA

Early morning game drive followed by breakfast (balloon ride optional extra). Midmorning at leisure. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Keekorok Lodge or similar.

Day 10.  MASAI MARA – NAIROBI
After breakfast, drive back to Nairobi.

DAY 01                 
Meet and greet at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi and transferred to the Norfolk Hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure or choose from a selection of optional excursions (book and pay locally. Overnight at the Norfolk Hotel or similar on bed and breakfast basis.

DAY 02,                                
After breakfast drive north through the rich farming areas arriving at the Aberdare Country Club in time for lunch (180 kms). After lunch transfer to the Ark in the lodges own vehicle with overnight bags (main luggage is stored at the Aberdare Country Club for collection the following day). Afternoon at leisure to enjoy excellent views of animals visiting the waterhole from the observation platforms of the lodge. Dinner and overnight at the Ark or similar

DAY 03,                                
After breakfast return to the Aberdare Country Club to collect left luggage and continue further north to the semi-arid and rugged landscape of Samburu National Reserve (220 kms). After lunch proceed on a late afternoon game-drive. Dinner and overnight at the Samburu Intrepids or similar

DAY 04.                                
Early morning and late afternoon game-drives enable you to see wildlife unique to this arid yet beautiful part of Kenya. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight at the Samburu Intrepids.or similar

DAY 05.                                
After breakfast drive to the slopes of Mount Kenya arriving in time for lunch (170 kms). Rest of the afternoon is at leisure to enjoy the clubs various facilities. Dinner and overnight at the Mount KenyaSafari Club or similar
NB dress code at the Mount Kenya Safari Club is smart casual. Children are not allowed in the dinning area after 1900 hrs.

DAY 05,                                       
After breakfast transfer to the nearby Nanyuki airstrip for a scheduled flight by light aircraft (maximum baggage allowance 15 kgs) to the Masai Mara Game Reserve (approximately 1 ½ hrs). On arrival at the airstrip met and transferred to the Mara Safari Club for lunch. In the afternoon proceed on a game-drive through one of the worlds greatest game reserves. Dinner and overnight at the Mara Safari Club or similar

DAY 07.                
An early morning balloon safari over the Mara followed by a bubbly bush breakfast (optional extra) or take an early morning game-drive followed by breakfast at the camp. Rest of the morning at leisure at the camp. After lunch proceed on a late afternoon game-drive. Dinner and overnight at the Mara Safari Club or similar.

DAY 08.                                
After breakfast transfer to the airstrip for a scheduled flight by light aircraft (maximum baggage allowance 15 kgs) to Nairobi (approximately 45 minutes). Met on arrival at the airport before proceeding with your chosen extension.
